BRIEF HISTORY/BACKGROUND
The 2000 Hail Marys devotion originated with Juan Riu Farran, a Salesian seminarian in Barcelona, Spain. He started it on the Feast of the Annunciation in 1933, praying for three specific graces. After receiving all the graces, he promoted the powerful devotion, which involves praying 2,000 Hail Marys with sincere faith for specific intentions, nd it has since spread globally with many testimonies of answered prayers.
The devotion was introduced at Sacred Heart Parish in January 2014.
CHARISM
The pious belief that any grace asked from the Virgin Mary will be granted to whoever prays the 20 petitions of the 2000 Hail Marys. That by praying the 2000 Hail Marys to our Lady asking for any kind of favors, as long as it is for the good of our soul, God will grant the requests through our Lady’s powerful intercession.
